As your Baby grows, you are going to want to use previous exercises, but also incorporate some new ones that change the position of your little one. Tummy time is to help improve your Baby’s head, neck and back muscles, but it also helps with preventing flat spots on the back of the head. When your Baby is awake, take advantage of doing tummy time.

  • Keep using a rattle during tummy time to help your Baby find the direction of the noise. This helps your Baby lift their head up and strengthen their neck and back muscles.
  • Place new objects in front of your Baby, while doing tummy time and get their attention. This could be a toy that makes a noise or has music.
  • Place an object in front of your baby that rolls, see if their eyes follow the object or if their head is turning towards the object.

These exercises are continuing to help with muscle strength, eye coordination and focusing on an object. Make sure to praise your little for each accomplishment with a big Wow and a kiss!
