Week three comes with some new exercises, here are some ideas to practice with Baby.

  • Rattles are a great way to introduce sound to your little one, as well as having them focus on their vision exercises. Take the rattle and begin at mid-line, then start moving it to the right or left, then shake it mid-way so that your baby notices the noise. See what their reaction is and smile at your baby.
  • To start working on core muscles, you can begin exercises that bring your Baby from a lying down position to a sitting position. You begin by having your Baby in a lying down position. Place your hands underneath your Baby. You must support your Baby’s head and also hold your Baby’s shoulders as you bring your Baby up to a sitting position. Then, help lower your Baby back down to a lying position.
  • Using your voice is a great way to get your Baby’s listening skills going. Lie down your Baby and touch a body part. For example, grab and kiss their hand as you say “hand.” This helps them develope a sense of touch, while using language skills to put it together with the object you are touching.

*Note*

If your Baby did not go through a growth spurt last week, it should be occurring this week, so be aware.
